So, you’re also one of the people who are fascinated with the nerdy looks, cool jargons and hefty salaries of the I.T. people? If yes, then you would have already faced or you will face a technical interview at some point. However, thought of a drilling technical interview can make most of us pretty nervous. Some of you might call it a gamble while some of you can think of it as a real exercise of brains. But really, a great technical interview is a combination of several aspects mentioned in this post.

Subject Knowledge
This is obviously the most important part of the job and therefore, of the interview too. You should be well-versed with the advanced technical aspects of the software/hardware systems falling in the stream of your work. After all, there is a world of difference between going for primary teaching jobs and a highly paid I.T. job.
Communication and Presentation Skills
A good interview requires you to be able to present the concepts, scenarios such that they can be understood by the interviewer without asking twice. Also, it might be a part of your job to write documents, speak to clients, and coordinate with various teams as well.
Stress Handling
When there are pressing deadlines, peer pressure, and major system failures, it might be the time that requires you to work too hard under serious pressure. At such times, you should be prepared to keep your cool. This is why interviewer might create a stressful situation during the interview and expects the candidate to handle the stress pretty well.
Teamwork
You might need to give examples of how well you blend with the other people in the team or across the teams, thus minimize the possibilities of conflicts. Most I.T. jobs require interactions with several people and that’s why teamwork is an important quality.
